Dear Client Community,

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve we are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our employees and clients and minimize transmission in our community.  We want to share with you the temporary changes that we have put in place here at Rothman so that we can continue to care for our patients while keeping our staff and clients protected.  We recognize the essential role that our hospital plays for your pets and are doing our best to continue to provide that service.

As of today, we will only be seeing scheduled appointments, walk-ins will not be accepted.  To help ensure that our doctor’s and staff can safely continue to care for our patients’ clients will no longer be permitted to accompany their pets into the hospital. Once arriving at the office for your scheduled appointment, clients will check in with our curb-side Customer Service Liaisons who will take your information and notify the technician you have arrived. Our technician will call your cell phone and triage your pet.  As soon as the doctor is available the masked technician will meet you in the parking lot. Please note ALL CATS MUST BE IN CARRIERS AND ALL DOGS MUST BE LEASHED. As recommended by the CDC and AVMA, staff will practice social distancing as much as possible while taking your initial history and we ask that you sanitize all leashes and carrier handles before transferring your pet to a staff member.  Please WEAR A MASK and wait in your vehicle while your pet is examined and treated.  A doctor will contact you at the number you provide after your pet’s examination to review recommendations and treatment plans. At the conclusion of your pet’s appointment a member of our team will contact you and review any additional instructions.

For medication refills, prescriptions and food pick-up please contact the office 48 to 72hrs in advance so that we can prepare the items for you.  A receptionist will contact you once your items are available and payment can be made over the phone.  Once you arrive for pick-up the Customer Service Liaison will bring your medications/Rx/food to your vehicle along with your receipt and any additional paperwork.

In addition, you can order/refill prescriptions as well as pet food via our online store at www.rothmananimalhospital.com.

We will continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available.  As recommended by the CDC, AVMA and local health authorities if you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath or have reason to believe that you’ve been in contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID case contact the office to reschedule your appointment.  It is critical that individuals exposed to or confirmed to have COVID-19 stay at home to reduce further spread in the community.

Our office hours may be modified over the course of this pandemic as things continue to evolve.

We as always are grateful for you, our wonderful clients, and your continued support.  We thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this difficult and rapidly changing situation.  Together we can help reduce the risk of transmission in our community.

Sincerely,
The Doctors and Staff at Rothman Animal hospital
