We are continuing to operate at full capacity within Rothman Animal Hospital but are prepared to adjust as needed should cases of COVID-19 become prevalent in our area.

We are following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)guidelines and developed  the following strategies.

First and foremost, we are monitoring and taking precautions to protect you and your pets during what the World Health Organization has declared a pandemic. As a rule, pet parents should practice good hygiene habits, including washing hands before and after handling pets/food/supplies, and maintaining a clean environment. If you see any change in your pet’s health condition please contact us immediately.

Rothman Animal Hospital is putting these safe guards in place to help prevent the spread of this illness:

  • Continuing to maintain a clean and sterile environment while taking additional precautions for the safety of our clients.
  • Cleaning services have been increased in high traffic areas, and multiple hand sanitation locations are throughout our hospital.
  • Furniture, counters, floors, doorhandles, exams and patient treatment areas are thoroughly and frequently disinfected.
  • Our staff continues to practice good hygiene by covering coughs and sneezes, not touching their faces, and not coming in close proximity to those feeling ‘under the weather’.
  • Management is instructing staff to stay home to prevent the spread of the illness and contact their doctor.

We are implementing the following social distancing guidelines:

  • Having new clients fill out online forms ahead of time to minimize waiting in our lobby.
  • Upon arrival, clients may call 856-854-7575 from the vehicle to verbally check in for their appointments.
  • After checking in , clients may wait in their vehicle for their scheduled appointment until our staff is ready to escort them into an exam room.
  • Pet prescriptions may be filled/refilled at our online pharmacy at www.rothmananimalhospital.com.
  • Curbside service is available for both pre-paid prescriptions and dog food.
  • When dropping off lab samples that are not pre-paid, such as urine and stool, please call the office at 856-854-7575 from your vehicle. We will process your payment via credit card over the phone and a team member will be out to retrieve the sample and provide you with the receipt.
  • For our boarding clients we require that you pre-pay your boarding in advance. In addition please email us the boarding release form and any addition boarding instructions such as feeding medications, etc. to limit your wait time . Upon your pet’s check in please call our office at 856-854-7575 and a member of the boarding staff will greet you at your car and escort your pet in for boarding.
  • Also when you’re picking up boarding during normal business hours, please call our office at 856-854-7575 and a boarding staff member will bring your pet and their belongings to your vehicle.

If you are feeling ill, we ask that you please call us before traveling to the hospital, so we can either reschedule your appointment, or in the case of an emergency, provide information on what to do upon arrival at the hospital.

We have frequently referenced and are referring clients to information in the recent AVMA FAQ on this topic: covid-19-faq-email.pdf

As always, thank you for your continued support.
